Welcome to the Way of Slow Travel!

Welcome everyone to The Way of Slow Travel! Please mind your step as the paint is still fresh.

I’m launching this website in parallel with my efforts to find a publisher for my upcoming book. I will use it to cover more specialized topics on Slow Travel which I might cover only in passing in the book. Once the book sees the publishing light of day, this website will remain as a companion to the book as well.

There are two distinct parts to this website for you to explore.

The Slow Travel blog  will feature articles on special topics in Slow Travel, focusing on no-nonsense, practical advice for travelers wishing to experience the benefits of Slow Travel. Some articles will focus on beginner advice, while others will also appeal to veteran travelers. By following this blog, you will get a real sense of what Slow Travel means in practice, what its benefits are, and how to integrate these into your own travels. I will also use the Slow Travel blog to share interesting pages and articles from around the web.

The Travel Stories section of this website collects my personal experience as a traveler. I have gathered all of my blogging efforts since 2006. These Stories span seven years and four blogs, as I made my way from wide-eyed expatriate in Shanghai, to struggling Canadian returnee, to backpack foodie, and NGO worker in rural India. Nowadays, as I now live in South Korea with my partner Helene, I will use this section to share my love for Korean culture, people, and food.

If you like this website, please consider following me around the web on the social media of your choice. I share network-specific content on a wide range of social media; check the sidebar to the right for a complete list.

Thank you for your time. Happy trails, and see you somewhere interesting!
